Staff

Stacey K. Simon, Director

As Director of IMPRINT, Stacey works closely with the Steering Committee to chart the course for the growth of the coalition and to expand its membership, activities and influence. In addition to overseeing day-to-day programs, she plays a key role in strengthening the relationships required to effectively engage in policy advocacy. She comes to IMPRINT with broad experience in the nonprofit and international education sectors, including at the National Academy Foundation, New York University, and One To World.

 

Sylvia Rusin, Policy and Research Specialist

Sylvia Rusin comes to IMPRINT with an immigration/higher education and community organizing background, having spent time working for the Migration Policy Institute, the National UnDACAmented Research Project at Harvard University, and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Sylvia immigrated to the U.S. from Poland as a child, and holds a M.A. in Social Science from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Sociology and Hispanic Studies from Illinois Wesleyan University.

 

Steering Committee

Paul Feltman, Chair

As the chair of IMPRINT’s Steering Committee, Paul oversees the organization’s financial and administrative functions. Paul also is the Director of the Global Talent Bridge, a program of World Education Services (WES) which helps immigrants to gain recognition of academic qualifications earned overseas. In this role, he develops outreach and education programs, community partnerships, and efforts to integrate immigrants into U.S. academic and professional settings.

Dr. José Ramón Fernández-Peña, Policy Chair

José Ramón serves as project manager and lead advocate for IMPRINT in federal policy advocacy and national network-building efforts. José Ramón is an Associate Professor of Health Education at San Francisco State University. He is also the founder and director of the Welcome Back Initiative, which assists healthcare professionals trained overseas through the process of entering the health profession in the United States.

Peter Gonzales, Project Manager for State-Level Initiatives

Peter serves as project manager for IMPRINT’s state-level initiatives and supervises the organization’s project staff. He is the President and CEO of the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians, a non-profit organization which helps new arrivals to the Philadelphia area connect to economic opportunities and integrate into their new community.

Nikki Cicerani, Member of Steering Committee

Nikki serves on the Steering Committee for IMPRINT and is the President and CEO of Upwardly Global, an organization which creates partnerships with employers and provides training and support to new Americans in an effort to eliminate the barriers preventing skilled refugees and immigrants from integrating into the professional workforce in the United States.

Teresita Wisell, Member of Steering Committee

Teresita serves on the Steering Committee for IMPRINT and is the Executive Director for the Community College Consortium for Immigrant Education (CCCIE). CCCIE works to assemble a group of community colleges committed to immigrant education programs. The consortium aims to raise national awareness of community colleges’ important role in serving the immigrant population and to create a reservoir of the best immigrant education practices.

Eva Millona, Member of Steering Committee

Eva serves on the Steering Committee for IMPRINT and is Executive Director of the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA), the state’s largest organization representing the foreign born, and co-chair of the National Partnership for New Americans, the lead national organization focusing on immigrant integration.
